Cocomelon Birthday Party Ideas Party Food:
I always label my food at parties, so party guests know what they are eating. I would hate for a guest to grab something they don’t like because it was not labeled.
Since Cocomelon is a watermelon, it makes the perfect food table theme.
1. JJ Sandwiches
To keep the party food kid friendly, I went with sandwiches.
You can really broaden your options with sandwiches because of all the different types out there.
The foods we included were:
Turkey
Honey Ham
Provolone Cheese
American Cheese
If you’re looking for a few more ideas, these could be:
Salami
Bologna
Pastrami
Pepperoni
Swiss Cheese
Shredded Cheese
Pepper Jack Cheese
You will also want to include toppings for the sandwiches.
These were:
Mayonnaise
Oil
Mustard
2. Yo-yo’s Meatballs
If you’re looking for a warm sandwich option, meatballs are delicious with melted cheese. I put meatballs and sauce in my crockpot for a different option for guests. You could eat them alone as well.
3. Cocomelon Fruit Salad
One of the most popular foods I put out at parties is fruit salad. Kids tend to eat most of it and it’s a healthy option as well. I decided to scoop out a watermelon and fill it with the fruit salad for the Cocomelon logo. You can include any fruit you want, but I included Strawberries, Blueberries, Pineapple, Watermelon, and Grapes.
4. Bella’s Macaroni Salad
Another popular option for kids and is great as an additional food item to go with your sandwich.
5. Tom Tom’s Pasta Salad
Every week on dance night, my children insist I make a pasta salad. It is one of their favorite foods. It was important I made it for the birthday party.
6. Water Bottles
The easiest drink option is bottles of water. Each person can grab one and carry it around with them. I recommend having a Sharpie and masking tape near the drinks so guests can label their bottles and cups with their name.
7. Cody’s Punch
I wanted to have a blue drink since the party is all about Blue the puppy. A delicious and very sweet drink option is a combination of Blue Hawaiian Punch and Lemon Lime Soda.
I put the drink into a large drink dispenser, you can find it Here on Amazon.
8. Cocomelon Cake
You can purchase a cake or make it yourself. I made my Cocomelon cake out of French vanilla cake and vanilla buttercream frosting. I used fondant and gel food coloring to decorate the top of the cake to look like Cocomelon. The cake looked great and tasted even better.
If you want to go with a store-bought cake or cupcakes, there are some great Cocomelon cupcake toppers or a Cocomelon cake topper you can purchase for an easy way to add the Cocomelon birthday party theme. You can find some great character cupcakes or a rainbow cake that would go great with your party.
Cocomelon Party Decorations / Party Supplies:
For his birthday party, the party boy got to wear his very own Cocomelon Birthday shirt. If mom, dad, and siblings want to match, you could wear blue and yellow to go with the theme. It would also be cute to have Cocomelon shirts designed for the whole family if you want to add to the themed parties. In addition to the outfits, you can find some great Cocomelon theme decorations to create the perfect Cocomelon birthday party.
1. Cocomelon Backdrop
My favorite party decoration was the Cocomelon themed backdrop for photos. We took a family photo with the cake in front of the backdrop, and we took pictures of the guests too. Many guests jumped in front of the backdrop for some fun pictures as well.
I love my Cocomelon backdrop and you can Get Your Own Here on Amazon.
2. Plates/Napkins/Cups
One of my favorite additions to birthday parties is the themed plates, napkins, and paper cups. I like to purchase 1 set of themed and mix in some plain as well.
I purchased a Cocomelon set off Amazon Here.
3. Balloons
I found the cutest Cocomelon foil balloons for my kid's party for my son to enjoy. There was a JJ Mylar balloon that I attached to one of the tents, a round Cocomelon Mylar balloon of the entire family, a round Cocomelon watermelon Mylar balloon, and a large blue number 3.
You can get all these Balloons off Amazon by following the link Here!
4. Tablecloths
My children have a tiny wooden picnic table we were gifted a few years back. It’s been the best way to have children at our house because they can sit at their picnic table comfortably. I put a Cocomelon tablecloth on his party table so the kids could sit at a themed table while they ate.
Some birthday decoration kits come with tablecloths, but Here are some of the Cocomelon Tablecloths I purchased from Amazon.
I bought some plain blue tablecloths for the rest of the tables, and I put each blue tablecloth on the food tables in the food tent.
5. Cocomelon Happy Birthday Banner
I bought a very large Cocomelon banner that had a character with each letter. Between the words Happy and Birthday was a watermelon that you could personalize with their age. My son absolutely loved his banner because of the Cocomelon characters and the bright colors. We hung it up in our house on his birthday as well.
Some of the party sets come with Cocomelon large spirals you can hang around as well. If you don't want to go with either of these ideas, you could even purchase blue and yellow streamers to hang around the tents.
6. Tents
If you are having an outside party, it is important to put up tents. Guests will want the option to get out of the sun if it’s a hot day. You can decorate the tents by hanging Happy Birthday banners or streamers along the side.
7. Tables
Prepare ahead of time how many tables you will need. Make sure to include the amount of food to put out, how many people will be sitting to eat, and where guests will set out presents. I set the favors to the side of the tables where people were eating, but you could have a separate table for favors as well.
8. Chairs
It is important to have enough chairs for the number of guests invited. You do not want guests standing around holding their plates in their hands to eat or sitting on a table because their feet hurt. I have asked my parents and in-laws to bring chairs to give us more. There are also rental companies to get tents, tables, and chairs as well.
This is also where having a special chair for the birthday child comes in handy. You can set up your child’s chair as their birthday chair and they can eat cake and open presents in their special chair.
Cocomelon Party Activities:
There are so many fun games to play during a Cocomelon Birthday Party. You could play music for a dance party or buy some Cocomelon themed games on the market. You can also find a Cocomelon pinata to purchase that can be filled with candy.
Here's some of the party activities I set up for the children:
1. Bouncy House/Bouncy Slide
One of my favorite party activities for a child's birthday is renting a bouncy house or bouncy slide. If you plan on having a lot of children, a bouncy play area is popular. Kids will get so much energy out bouncing while having a lot of fun and you can sit back and watch.
2. Swing Set
Since the party was at our house, we set up our swing set area that has swings and a slide. The kids love running over to play on the swing set and running back to the bouncy house.
3. Playhouse
In our at-home playground, we also have a playhouse for the kids. It’s next to the swing set and we set up the bouncy house nearby. We set up a whole area for the kids to play in so they can stay in one area to play.
Cocomelon Party Favors:
I never want to send the kids home without a goodie bag, but I also don't want to send them home with more tiny toys or candy. A fun idea to keep the kids and parents happy is to think of a favor the kids can use or something they can throw away once it's been used up.
1. Cocomelon Activity Books
A fun favor kids can use at home is activity books. These come with crayons and can be discarded once colored. They are great to throw in a diaper bag or take on long car trips because they’re small.
Grab a set of Cocomelon Activity Books Amazon Here.
2. Cocomelon Cups
I found the most adorable Cocomelon plastic cups online, so I grabbed them and put them inside our goodie bags.
You can find a set of Cocomelon cups here on Amazon.
3. Fruit Snacks
To add the final touch to the treat bags, I added a package of Welch’s fruit snacks. They’re a nice simple treat without adding too much junk or candy.
4. Gift Bags
I found some adorable Cocomelon gift bags online with the Cocomelon characters on them. It's a great idea to put all your party favors in for the guests to take home.
5. Thank You Tags
I had Thank You Tags designed by my cousin and attached them to each goodie bag handle. It’s a great way to thank your little guests for coming to the party.
Throwing a Cocomelon party for my son was a huge success. It took a lot of planning and party prep, but it was a hit, and my birthday boy and the other children had a great time.
It is so much fun setting up special occasions for our children and it is the best thing to see your excited child have a good time at their party.
