Best Easter Basket Ideas for Outdoors:
1. Hula Hoops
Since introducing my daughter to hula hoops, she can’t put them down. She spends so much time hula hooping everywhere she goes inside and outside our house and it provides hours of fun. It is good to send her outside, so she doesn’t break anything though.
2. Jump Ropes
Whether you like short single person jump ropes or longer jump ropes held by others, jump ropes are great exercise. You can learn many different types of jumps and songs to go along with your jump roping as well.
3. Bubble Machine
If your children love bubbles, a bubble machine is the best investment. Fill the machine, turn it on, and watch your little kids eyes light up with job as they can run through all the bubbles. Makes it easier than blowing bubbles for hours and is a fun way to entertain your children.
4. Kites
Kites can be enjoyed by any age and is best to use on a windy day. You can get your children’s favorite characters on their kites to encourage them to get out and try. We had our kids’ flying kites between 2 and 3 years old so don’t hesitate getting a kite if you think they’re too young.
5. RC Cars
Utilize your driveway and sidewalk with RC cars you can race around. There are so many different styles and types so you’re sure to find one for the child in your life interested in cars. Easter is the perfect time to buy your child an RC car, so they have it for the summer.
6. Scooters
Depending on the type of scooter, it may be a bit too big for the Easter basket. There are some scooters that fold down smaller for travel and storage. If it’s a gift you really want to get, there’s no rule saying you can’t leave it next to the Easter basket.
7. Roller Skates
My daughter has her very own roller skates and our son is next. It’s a great skill to learn and takes a lot of time and practice. If your child is interested, roller skating can be a fun activity to do as a family.
8. Skateboard
A skateboard could be another skill for your child to learn. Balancing is very important and is necessary for many outdoor activities and even some sports. If your child seems interested in skateboarding, grab them a skateboard to learn.
9. Rockets
There are many types of toy rockets that can be launched outside. Be sure to check the ages of the rockets so you know what would be appropriate for your child. Our daughter loves science, so a rocket would be a great gift for her.
10. Badminton Set
If you’re looking to add more family games to the yard, a badminton set could be an awesome option for older kids. Set up the net and have a great time during your next family game day. Just watch out for swinging rackets.
11. Sidewalk Chalk
Sidewalk chalk is much different than regular chalk because it is much larger and easier to write on the ground with. You can purchase assorted color sets and even holders to put the sidewalk chalk in to make it easier to hold.
12. Garden Tools
My mother has had a garden my entire life. I loved to help her pick green beans and zucchini every year. If you love to garden, get your children their very own gardening tools so they can help you. Gardening is a great hobby to learn and one day they could have their own garden.
13. Bathing Suits
With summer following behind spring, there will be many more beach days and pool days. Since children grow so quick, there’s a good chance they’ll need a new bathing suit every year for a while. What better time to pick out a new bathing suit than Easter.
14. Beach Towels
Add to the bathing suits by getting new beach towels as well. There are themed towels, and you could pick out their favorite characters. Eventually beach towels get old and need to be replaced so new towels are a great option for Easter.
